"In 1709, King Friedrich I initiated the founding of the "Werbelliner Canal Colony" and the "Dutch Paper Mill". In 1878 the name was changed to Eichhorst. The old oak tree was the inspiration for this name. Due to the land being filled up, its trunk is 4 m deep in the ground."
