The Königsallee is one of 23 listed avenues in Ludwigsburg. The Königsallee was the first avenue created by the Dukes of Württemberg. The Königsallee runs from north to south through Ludwigsburg. It is approximately 1000 meters long and over 13 meters wide. That's why Königsallee is also called the "Thick Allee". There are over 300 linden trees along the avenue. In the south, Königsallee begins and ends at Grüne Bettlade, a square also laid out by the dukes. In the north, Königsallee adjoins the Blooming Baroque at the large Baroque palace in Ludwigsburg
