About Sigge🚌💹

I was able to take advantage of the nice weather and the clear air today between Torgau and MĂŒhlberg. I actually followed the Elbe cycle path for a few kilometers. The stops at the manors and castles were very interesting. There is a lot of potential for tourism there.

There is always something new to discover in the Ore Mountains World Heritage region. On the outskirts near Oelsnitz I have worked off another vantage point. The mining museum and the GlĂŒck Auf tower on the Deutschland-Schacht-Halde are an absolute must.

A shady way back via the panoramic cycle path to

Today's destination was a very special mountain. The Steinberg is the westernmost mountain in the Ore Mountains and at the same time the easternmost in the Vogtland. The restaurant was unfortunately closed due to an event in Wildenau, so I had to economize on my few drops of water. On the way there was

Five and a half hours by boat is always nice for my guests. However, this time I was drawn back onto my bike after fighting with a so-called hoarseness for a short time (tourist worker damaged by air conditioning). The flat variant in Saxon Switzerland was therefore very pleasant and due again anyway.

Bad Sooden is a very attractive town. But in the heat I preferred to enjoy some headwind. In Witzenhausen I looked at the cherry trees and cycled on the east side of the Werra via the border town of Wahlhausen. Strange what was going on at the time.

When it was sunny and hot, @Berndï»ż lured me to the Brocken. An absolutely worthwhile round. The warm air was 24 degrees at the summit and in the few windless areas it felt a lot warmer (e.g. Drei Annen Hohne 32 degrees). The only thing that bothered me was the mass rush on the last few meters to the summit

      ... when a mountain calls.

On one of my earlier tours in the Saxon/Boehm. Switzerland I was already at the Tyssa walls. However, like today, it was very fresh up there, so I skipped the Sneznik. I did this now and was thrilled by the prospect.

Unfortunately, there was another forest-related closure, which

A quiet day of cycling that couldn't be nicer. A hearty stop and many shady paths. The "specialists" from the forest closed off the cycle path between Buchen and Hettigenbeuern without the possibility of a diversion or timely notice, which not only caused me to shake my head, but that's how they are

On my Monday bike tour, today's destination was WalldĂŒrn. Since the weekend the shrine at the altar, with the cloth of the body of Christ, has been open and the pilgrimage season has begun. There wasn't much going on, so I was able to take a seat with my tally stick. After the planing, a voice said to
