This large, misshapen rock lies on a wide loop in the Salzach. Those who once came too close to the rock could hear a ghostly sigh from the rock. Only when the Burghausers built a cross on the rock around 150 years ago did it remain silent. Since then the rock has been called Kreuzfelsen.
