St. Martin's Pharmacy at Saumarkt

The house, built in 1906, is the only one in the old town area that was built in Art Nouveau style. In 2005/2006 it was led by Dr. Andreas Röhrle fundamentally renovated. On the first floor, the gilded Art Nouveau pharmacy lettering stands out clearly on the left, while on the right the outstanding bay window base with the richly decorated windows is almost equally contrasted. On the second floor, the classicist structure of the window reveals on the left is impressive, while the windows on the same floor on the right under the bay window balcony look modest. On the third floor there is again a balance of power: on the left a wide window with the cassettes framing it at the top, on the right the small balcony protruding from the bay window. In the attic on the left is the copper-green tower with a weather vane that towers over everything, and on the right on the bay window as the crowning touch is the color-coordinated, “upwards” vase with ripe fruits.
