Today the Kulturforum Burgkloster with the Museum of Archeology is a place of lively discussion with permanent and changing exhibitions on archeology, the history of the Hanseatic League and the Baltic Sea region, contemporary history as well as visual arts and cultural history.
Particularly impressive are the vault paintings restored in the castle monastery.
From the observation deck of the castle monastery you have a beautiful view of the Untertrave and the middle castle gate.
