I've ridden such routes with a racing bike and 25-622 Conti Grand Prix. In the 90s, back then. With a little caution, you can do much more. Really had to ponder to remember the nature of the trail, as I ride 45-622 tubeless today. There are always stones on the road. Otherwise the bus to the Urfttalsperre runs there.
