The complex, which was built during the time of the so-called "Third Reich" and is known as "Ordensburg Vogelsang", was intended to serve as a training ground for the next generation of leaders of the National Socialist unjust regime. Today it stands in the middle of the Eifel National Park and part of the huge building complex now houses the National Park Information Center with a large exhibition on flora and fauna.
The gate system seen here already gives an impression of the architectural structure of this "Ordensburg", which was planned and realized during the Nazi era.

The NS-Ordensburg Vogelsang! The facility served the National Socialists as a training facility for the next generation of NSDAP executives! After the war, British forces first used the site and later the Belgians! Today the buildings there are under monument protection! Since 2016, Vogelsang has been a Nazi documentation center as part of a permanent exhibition and as an architectural memorial! Definitely worth checking out when you're around! The buildings are made to last and the whole thing is like a separate village on a mountain, in the middle of the beautiful nature of the Eifel! There is also a restaurant there, but I haven't tried it and therefore can't comment on it! So eat at your own risk. . .
