You should definitely take the time for a guided tour. On this tour, you will learn more about its original use, but also about its use by the Belgian army. Thus, there is not only an inn there (currently not in use), but also a huge cinema hall protected as a monument. Those who are less interested in history will learn a lot about the Eifel National Park in the newly designed entrance area.

The driveway with the "gateway" offers an impressive first impression. At the entrance gate there is a map of the area, at the former guard of the camp "Malakoff" you get to the area of the former Belgian barracks and the Ordensburg Vogelsang and to the main car park.

Cycling

The complex, which was built during the time of the so-called "Third Reich" and is known as "Ordensburg Vogelsang", was intended to serve as a training ground for the next generation of leaders of the National Socialist unjust regime. Today it stands in the middle of the Eifel National Park and part of the huge building complex now houses the National Park Information Center with a large exhibition on flora and fauna.
The gate system seen here already gives an impression of the architectural structure of this "Ordensburg", which was planned and realized during the Nazi era.
