The former district estate building, later the seat of the Querfurt District Council and, after reunification, the seat of the district administration until 1994, is a listed building. It is privately owned, but the owner's company went bankrupt in 2007. The company, a surveying and planning office from the district, also owned the former district court in the immediate vicinity. Both of these once beautiful, highly prestigious buildings are falling into disrepair. They are typical lost places.
