Tips

  • The obelisk, made of Stockholm granite, was erected in 1800, according to other sources in 1799,[1] based on a design by Louis Jean Desprez and commemorates the Swedish-Russian War of 1788 to 1790. The obelisk was erected to thank the citizens for their support. It is 22 metres high and was assembled from several parts.
