It opened in 2011 as the National Museums' newest museum, replacing the former Museum of Liverpool Life. The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (in winter only until 4 p.m.). It is only open on Mondays when there is a bank holiday or school holidays.
