The sandstone monument, built in 1925, was designed by the local sculptor Alfred Lehmann. A sarcophagus-like monument stands on a rectangular base plate and block steps above it, with a flat triangular gable above a cornice.
On the northern front there is a relief of an oak leaf wreath around an iron cross. The inscription is above it
“FOR US − FAITHFUL UNTIL DEATH”
and on the side the years “1914” and “1918”. On the back there are the names of the fallen from Kötzschenbroda in front of the municipalities.
