Hiking
The Appeldijk is known for its majestic old fruit trees. Here, between the branches, it becomes clear why Gelderland is often called the 'Heart of Fruit Growing'. Each season brings a new spectacle of colours and scents, with spring opening the spectacle with its pink and white blossoms.
Between this natural splendour we also find traces of human presence. Characteristic farms and elegant houses shine in the sunlight, each with their own story. They almost seem to be set up as guardians of time, silent witnesses of a period in which life was quieter.
