The melody of the sea and the mischief of the sands, it makes you want to happily shout.

At the end of the Zuiderzeepad, the short stage with number 28 is actually mainly an encore. It's not called Ommetje Marken for nothing. You walk around half of the island of Marken in more than six kilometers. Of course you go to the Paard van Marken, the striking lighthouse that stands on a dam at the most easterly point of Marken. You start and end at the harbor of the village of Marken. A lovely place to sit and enjoy the beautiful view with a snack and a drink within reach. Certainly not a bad spot to celebrate that you have reached the end of the Zuiderzeepad.Do you really think today's stage is too short? Then you can also stick a piece on it and round the north and / or the south point of the island.

In this 27th stage of the Zuiderzeepad, both the start and finish are a highlight. You walk from the beautiful Medemblik to the equally beautiful Enkhuizen, where stage 1 of LAW 8 started. Both places have a historic center and a photogenic harbor. Both are old fishing towns on the Zuiderzee. Partly for this reason, you have a continuous view of the current IJsselmeer throughout the walk. The historic Medemblik is the oldest city in West Friesland. In addition to the Hoorn-Medemblik steam tram, you will find numerous interesting museums, such as the bakery museum and the war museum. Enjoy your day out!Officially, the stage ends approximately at the height of the Zuiderzee Museum. I will continue the route to the station of Enkhuizen, because you will probably depart from there and that way you will still catch the harbor.
