The cathedral, the Dreihasenfenster and the facilities around the cathedral are worth repeated visits.

It's not easy to find, and a bit inconspicuous at that: the Three Hares Window
in the late Gothic cloister of Paderborn Cathedral, carved by a skilled stonemason at the beginning of the 16th century. Nevertheless, it has become a landmark of the city, visited in earlier times by every journeyman and today a must-see for every visitor. What's special about it: "The hare and the spoon are three, and yet every hare has two," is the verse that succinctly describes the Three Hares Window.

The cathedral is truly a very impressive historical building and a highly recommended highlight.

"The hare and the spoon have three, and yet each hare has two." This verse beautifully describes the Three Hares Window, which has become a landmark of the city. At the beginning of the 16th century, a skilled stonemason carved it out of red Weser sandstone with only three hare ears in the middle, so that the viewer thinks they can assign a full pair of ears to each of the three hares. In earlier times, the window was a lucky charm that every journeyman wandering through Paderborn had to have seen.
