Around the Grand Bassin there are several stands where wooden boats are rented. The normal thing is to rent it for half an hour and the price should currently be around three euros or so.
Children have fun renting sailboats to sail around the pond. The system is very rudimentary. We put the boat in the water and with a small rod we give it a push. The air moves the boat where it wants and you chase it until it gets close to the shore again and you push it again towards the center of the pond.
