Arche Village Kleinwendern

The people of Kleinwendern enthusiastically breed traditional livestock breeds and always pursue the clear goal of becoming the first Ark Village in Bavaria.Through this work, Kleinwendern meets the criteria set by the Society for the Preservation of Old and Endangered Domestic Animal Breeds.

Kleinwendern near Bad Alexandersbad is the first village in Bavaria to receive the "Ark Village" certificate and now bears this title. Kleinwendern is now the second village nationwide to receive this distinction, and it will soon be displayed on the town signs. This is due to the villagers' constant efforts to keep ancient and endangered animal breeds alive and in their populations.
