The Temple of Cupid once belonged to an English garden in Scharnhausen. Many romantic legends surround the Temple of Cupid in the Ostfildern district of Scharnhausen. One of them is that the Duke of Württemberg, Carl Eugen, had it built in 1788 for his lover and later wife, Franziska von Hohenheim. Whether they spent time together there is unknown.
