The patrician house is one of the most important town houses in the old town of Meissen. Built in 1557/58, it is entered through a typical city niche portal from 1587.Inside: groined vaults, wooden beam ceilings painted in the Renaissance style and a baroque canvas ceiling with allegorical representations of the twelve months, unique in Saxony.Between 1991 and 2004, the house was restored to its original structural condition and furnished with furniture and pictures from the 16th to 18th centuries.Since 2004, it has been a museum for bourgeois living culture in the Renaissance and Baroque periods and a gallery for modern art.2patrizierhaus.patrizierhaus-meissen.de
