The Bennokanzel is the perfect place if you want to enjoy the view of the Elbe and the Albrechtsburg in Meissen, because the view you have from here is really wonderful. But you are also standing on the ruins of a castle that was probably built on this mountain spur in the 11th/12th century. The castle remains were only recently discovered.

The Albrechtsburg was used after its dismissal from the yard accessories from 1710 to 1863 as manufacturing plant of the famous Saxon porcelain manufactory.
