“In memory of the member of the Frankfurt National Assembly and journalist Robert Blum (born 1807 in Cologne).
At Pentecost 1848, the fighter for democracy gave a widely acclaimed speech at the Madenburg. He advocated a free-democratic constitution.
In violation of his immunity as a member of parliament, Robert Blum was summarily shot in Vienna on November 9, 1848.”
