The Kleinschirma parish church was first mentioned in the middle of the 14th century. The construction of the Sisters' Church, from Kleinwaltersdorf, in Kleinschirma was probably around 1500. The master builder was the same as in Kleinwaltersdorf. A special ornament is the altar, a woodcut depicting Holy Communion. The pulpit is made of sandstone. In 1839 lightning destroyed the church. In 1893 the inside of the church was renovated.
