The building that now houses the Culture House was opened in 1895 for cultural and educational purposes. It combined the functions of a boarding school and a social and cultural institution. After the Second World War, the National Committee was located here. The building consists of an entrance hall and a main hall with a stage. The building already had a rich cultural life in the 1980s, after it passed into private ownership it fell into disrepair for many years. It has been owned by the city since 2002. In 2015, the hall was declared a cultural monument and the building is currently being renovated so that after almost thirty years it can again become a worthy cultural and social center of the city.
