It is a Gothic hall church from the 15th century, mainly made of yellow brick, which was modified in 1761 and restored in 1888 under the direction of Louis Tulpinck. The iron sandstone from the preceding Romanesque church was reused in the central west facade and the substructure of the two flanking west facades. These all have the shape of a spout gable.
