In a figurative sense, the marker ladies in Thorn ended up on a "pink cloud". The marker offered them the opportunity and space to deepen their personal experience. In a literal sense, visual artist Martine Zevenhek, living and working in Thorn, came up with the idea of making a pink cloud. She used marble rosso from the marble quarry in Vilavisoca in Portugal.
