Do NOT cross (and if you do, hope the Lithuanians catch you before the Russians do). An aquaintance of a friend of mine walked along the beach in 2023 (but even down there was a sign, have seen it with my own eyes) and got caught by the Lithuanians - he had to stay in jail for 2 nights. Not sure if he got fined as well, but most likely he did.
