The monument is dedicated to the hero Benis from A. Aramin's film "A Little Confession", played by Vytautas Kernagis (sculptor Romas Kvintas) in 1971. It was decided to immortalize the maestro in Nida, because for many years he was closely associated with the Nida summer season opening festival "Benis, let's sail to Nida". The sculptor depicted V. Kernagis in life-size with his most important attribute - a guitar. Anyone can sit down and take a picture with the maestro. A bard's square - a mini concert space has been installed next to the sculpture.
