In May 2023, the new geopoint information board was set up. She explains the flight control station in Fürth during World War II. During World War II there was an air force station on the "Gänsberg" in Fürth, a 247 m high elevation from which you can see the entire Weschnitz Valley. This air traffic control station was manned throughout the war. At the beginning of the war, conscript men served there. After they had to go to the front as the war progressed, female air force helpers took over the task.
