At the wonderful exhibition of works by the artist Gertrude Reum, which we visited at the Museum Würth 1 in Künzelsau, there was a large depiction of the town church St. Oswald in Buchen, Gertrude Reum's hometown. In this church, which incidentally delights with truly wonderful colorful choir windows

Walldürn is a small town with 11,000 inhabitants, and it interested me why such a small town is such a well-known place of pilgrimage with a huge pilgrimage basilica. The reason is as follows:
The pilgrimage basilica of St. Georg in Walldürn houses the so-called Blood Miracle of Walldürn and is today

Today we visited Tauberbischofsheim.
Tauberbischofsheim, although it only has 13,000 inhabitants in contrast to Bad Mergentheim, is the district town of the Main-Tauber district in the Franconian northeast of Baden-Württemberg.
In order not only to take a city walk and also to be able to park the campervan

This morning, we (unfortunately) left our beautiful spot in Vellberg and also Hohenlohe and visited Bad Mergentheim.
Bad Mergentheim is a beautiful spa town (with 24,000 inhabitants, the largest town in the Main-Tauber district) and is located in the lovely Tauber Valley directly on the river Tauber and

After yesterday's spontaneous lazy day ☕📖☕📖😊 at the beautiful campsite in front of the outdoor pool in Vellberg, we started today full of drive on the Bühlertal hike.
This route has a lot to offer in terms of landscape, but a large section of the BTW along the river is hardly passable due to waist

After our walk in Kupferzell, we drove back to "our" parking lot in Künzelsau.
Künzelsau is a pretty little town picturesquely situated on the Kocher river. It even has a castle, which is currently used as a grammar school and is also being renovated. In addition, you can find a few outstandingly beautiful

We needed a power connection for our weak battery again, so we spent the night at a very idyllic camper van site far outside of Kupferzell under apple trees with a view of a flock of sheep being chased back and forth by a boisterous sheepdog 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐕🦺😄.
Due to the proximity to Kupferzell, we also

Today we used the day for two extensive museum visits.
This time we first visited the Museum Würth 1, which we had skipped on our last visit. Currently, there is an impressive exhibition of works by the artist Gertrude Reum, who would have turned 100 this year and was also personally connected to the

The weather forecast for our planned motorhome week in the north was unfortunately too rainy, my bruised ribs prohibit hikes with altitude meters, and so we ended up in Hohenlohe again to visit the wonderful Würth museums.
Today's hike should have had significantly fewer altitude meters according to Komoot

This hike on the last day of our short holiday in Saarland again offered plenty of shady greenery and soft forest paths.
In the monastery ruins, a class, I suspect a 10th grade, was taking place. The young people were even dressed in various monk robes. As I didn't want to disturb, I refrained from visiting

The Mariannenweg is probably the best-known hiking trail around Blieskastel. It leads from the old town of Blieskastel, over the Gollenstein, to the Würzbacher Berg and back again. Along the way, beautiful views open up onto the vast landscapes of the Bliesgau.
Since we had parked a little outside of

The Kirkeler Felsenpfad is a particularly beautiful and rocky section of the Burgpanoramaweg. Unfortunately, the latter does not quite live up to its full new name, because at least now in summer, there is no view of the Kirkel castle ruins from anywhere. However, the path itself is very beautiful nonetheless

After a great circular trip, this morning it was definitely clear - we are leaving Poland 🌧️😉!
And so we did, in the direction of Dresden, in the hope that the weather god would be kind to us. Given the public holiday on Thursday, my husband suggested using the truck-free motorways in Bavaria and Baden

Our second tour today was just to my liking: forest, water, waterfall 😄.
Almost the entire route runs along root paths next to the babbling river. Unfortunately, it was extremely difficult to take good photos, as the trees and the lot of deadwood, while not really blocking the view of the river, made

Back again in our favorite holiday apartment in Hann. Münden 😊😄. And for decades the first planned holiday for relaxation and reading 📚📖🫖☕🥗 😎💦👙😴, together with a daughter.
Today we used the last hot rain-free day for a stroll through the picturesque old town with its beautiful half-timbered
