This hike on the last day of our short holiday in Saarland again offered plenty of shady greenery and soft forest paths.

In the monastery ruins, a class, I suspect a 10th grade, was taking place. The young people were even dressed in various monk robes. As I didn't want to disturb, I refrained from visiting

The Mariannenweg is probably the best-known hiking trail around Blieskastel. It leads from the old town of Blieskastel, over the Gollenstein, to the Würzbacher Berg and back again. Along the way, beautiful views open up onto the vast landscapes of the Bliesgau.

Since we had parked a little outside of

The Kirkeler Felsenpfad is a particularly beautiful and rocky section of the Burgpanoramaweg. Unfortunately, the latter does not quite live up to its full new name, because at least now in summer, there is no view of the Kirkel castle ruins from anywhere. However, the path itself is very beautiful nonetheless

After a great circular trip, this morning it was definitely clear - we are leaving Poland 🌧️😉!

And so we did, in the direction of Dresden, in the hope that the weather god would be kind to us. Given the public holiday on Thursday, my husband suggested using the truck-free motorways in Bavaria and Baden

Our second tour today was just to my liking: forest, water, waterfall 😄.

Almost the entire route runs along root paths next to the babbling river. Unfortunately, it was extremely difficult to take good photos, as the trees and the lot of deadwood, while not really blocking the view of the river, made

We decided to stay in Poland as long as it doesn't rain 😄, so I asked the AI for tips on beautiful hikes with a view of the Giant Mountains. This resulted in this beautiful tour, which includes three castles and offers a distant view of the Schneekoppe.

What always strikes us throughout Poland is that very many houses have tin roofs. This is also the case on the way to the High Tatras, and that surprised us somewhat, as it gets bitterly cold here in winter with a lot of snow, and tin roofs have no insulating effect. But Google enlightened us that 30
