The late-Gothic round tower from the 15th century is the only tower of the city fortifications that has been almost completely preserved. The upper part of the tower, originally called "blunt tower", was used to defend the city fortifications and the lower part as a dungeon. In 1609 a woman accused of witchcraft is said to have been held here.
