The Eder cycle path runs directly through the village, which leads via Felsberg, Wabern and Fritzlar to the Edersee, while the northern end at Grifte is connected to the Fulda cycle path.

The river rises in the Rothaar Mountains on the Ederkopf in the urban area of Netphen (Westphalia), flows through the Edersee reservoir and flows into the Fulda at Grifte on the municipal boundary of Edermünde and Guxhagen (north Hesse).

Very nice and idyllic resting place between the Emser Berg and the Altenburg. Many hiking trails meet here and the touching story of Mrs. Engel is told, who regularly stopped here on the way to the market.
