Hiking

Here, in the so-called Fulda Gap, a third world war could have broken out, because this border not only separated Germany, but also divided Europe and the world - it was the border between freedom and bondage.

Hiking

Impressive and touching memorial on the former inner-German border. The hostile social systems of the victorious powers led to the division of Germany into GDR and FRG. On the border between East and West, art as a reminder of the longing and suffering of separation.

Hiking

At this and many other places here on the Art Trail, on the former Colonnade is aware of the almost 40-year division of 🇩🇪, if you allow it 😉
