This villa was built in 1835 by the French railway pioneer Paul Denis, later Paul von Denis (pronounced De-ni; emphasis on the 2nd syllable).

It was bought at the end of 2006 by the Foundation for the Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University of Kaiserslautern-Landau. It is primarily available to the university, research institutions and donors as a conference venue.”

The conference rooms (groups of up to 60 people) can also be booked externally. Source and further information:

Paul Camille Denis built the villa at the foot of the ruins of the castle Diemerstein in Diemerstein, a district of Frankenstein in the Palatinate Forest, less than a kilometer from Frankenstein (Palatinate) station, at the Pfälzischen Ludwigsbahn built by him. In 2001, the villa was sold to a private individual, who in turn sold it to the Foundation for the University of Kaiserslautern in 2007. This uses them as a conference center.

Especially interesting for hikers: in the park of the villa there is a wonderful Kneipp pool where tired feet can be wonderfully refreshed.

In addition to the Kneipp pool, there are also very beautiful sculptures in the park

The villa was the country residence of the engineer and railway pioneer Paul Camille von Denis. Since 2007 sold to the Foundation for the TU Kaiserslautern. It uses this as the headquarters of the foundation and as a conference center.

Opposite Villa Dennis is the new research building for timber construction at the TU Kaiserslautern. There are boards in front of the building that explain what is happening here.

From here, behind the garden, a small staircase leads up to the ruins
