The source is in Doubrava/Green. Where the yellow hiking trail markings and the river Weiße Elster cross. This spring has been bubbling since time immemorial and in 1972 a brick gazebo was built here.
In 2008, the city of Asch had this spring checked and it was determined that it is a healing spring. In 2009, the spring in Doubrava/Green was consecrated by the orthodox Archbishop and Metropolitan Christoph. Hence it was renamed to Century Source. For comparison, the Century Spring was found to have the same composition as the Green Spring in the neighboring German town of Bad Elster.
