The log cabin, constructed from raw spruce logs, was originally built here in 1884 and enlarged and improved around 1910 by garden inspector Paul Schindel. After falling into disrepair, the cabin was renovated and refurbished again in 2018. Tables and benches invite you to linger. A preserved wild boar hide hangs on the back wall.

This hut is an experience. You have to take a break and take photos and definitely take a break.

Nicely designed covered rest area which can be very helpful in bad weather.
