The most typical goose in our fields and meadows is the greylag goose. She also feels at home in parks and by ponds these days. When they fly over us in sometimes large groups, you can hear them well by their loud, drawn-out calls. If she spots a walker, you can hear a goose warning the whole flock, and then all the birds will watch you skeptically. It is the most common goose in Europe and the ancestor of our domestic geese.
