The Ameisstein (776 m) is a small mountain that towers directly on the shore of the Almsee. In contrast to the opposite, impassable rock walls, it is really easy to hike through a deciduous forest.
The panorama of the Almsee and the huge peaks of the Dead Mountains behind it is probably unique. Certainly one of the best value (sweat) - performance (view) - ratio in the country in my opinion
