    Hiking

Many years ago I was at the Katzenstein without any knowledge or preparation and since then I still have a great respect for it. Fortunately, I kicked a stone on the way back and it took a while before I heard it hit. With the utmost caution I then looked for and found another descent. Later I often went on hikes with my family from Hois'n to Laudachsee, also over the Hohe Scharte, the Mairalm around the Traunstein, but since then I have avoided the Katzenstein like the plague, you don't necessarily have to challenge fate.

    Mountaineering

For experienced mountain hikers, it is a great ascent in the Gamsluck'n, mostly on all fours, with fantastic views from the summit to the Totes Gebirge, Dachstein massif, and Höllengebirge.....
