The former monastery church of St. Maria Magdalena has rococo furnishings from 1749-1750 and a statue of St. John of Nepomuk attributed to Johann Brokoff. The main altar of the monastery church was supplemented in 1874 with a painting of Saint Mary Magdalene by the Tachau artist Franz Rumpler (1848-1922), who later headed the school for history painting at the Vienna Academy. Rumpler also captured the Tachau monastery church in an oil painting in 1895. The statues of St. Francis and St. John Capistranus also date from the second half of the 19th century.

The church houses a rare mid-18th century organ, most likely from the workshop of Antonín Gartner – the founder of an important family of organists. The monastery has been used as a museum since 1959. The temple belongs to the Catholic Church, but is rented for the needs of the Orthodox Church. The throne (sacrificial altar) is dedicated to the saint.
