The Cathedral of San Giusto in Trieste is the cathedral church of the Bishop of Trieste entitled the Basilica Minor. Dedicated to the patron saint of the city, St. Justus, the cathedral towers over the city on the Capitoline Hill as one of Trieste's landmarks. The present Romanesque building dates back to the 14th century. It contains remnants of pagan, Christian and secular buildings that have been following each other since Roman times.
