The foundation stone was laid in 1315. The construction of this Corpus Christi chapel served the atonement of a discarded at this point and thus desecrated host. In 1385, the patronage of the chapel of Pope Urban VI. transferred to the directly adjacent monastery Mariae Magdalenae, where the name Magdalenenkapelle stirs.
