On the left, seen from the source, Friedrichsdorfer Strasse, later Amorbacher Strasse, leads from Kailbach to Gaimühle.
To the right, a rustic path leads along the mountain slope, on which the Odenwaldbahn from Frankfurt to Eberbach also has its route.
You pass three viaducts. The best known is the Haintal Viaduct, the "smaller brother" of the imposing Himbächel Viaduct on the other side of the mountain near Hetzbach.
