The Katzenbuckel is the highest mountain in the Odenwald. You can hike and mountain bike well here. It gets very steep towards the summit and when it is wet, the single trails are damn slippery. It still pays to visit the summit and it is never far up to the tower. The reward is a fantastic panorama with a view in all directions. Recommended at any time.

Hiking

The only remaining ski jump of the Black Forest North Ski Association is located on the Katzenbuckel (624 m), the highest elevation in the Odenwald near the village of Waldkatzenbach. The Katzenbuckel ski guild, newly founded in 1949 in Eberbach, 15 km away, inaugurated its first ski jump in December 1950 and jumped up to 15 meters.
