The farm is 172 hectares in size and borders the Rhine. It has been farmed for over 170 years. Today also to preserve the now protected cultural landscape.
On the western side of the farm is the Hofgut Maxau guest house.
A large playground, a farm shop, orchards, a museum, pastures with open-air cattle and a grandstand on the dam with a view of the Rhine and the Rhine bridges - so there is plenty of variety.

The parking lot is always too small. But you can easily reach the farm via the "Maxau" stop on the S-Bahn.
The Knielinger See (largely a nature reserve) is located directly behind the farm. I can recommend walking around the lake with a detour to the Rhine harbor. Or you can walk along the Rhine to the Rhine harbor past the Tulla monument.

Outstanding service in the best ambience
The service staff are really good! You don't always experience such speed, competence, friendliness and stress resistance, and that on a Sunday on the Rhine!!!!
High praise.
We were a group of 8 cyclists who all ordered something different and were all served almost at the same time. The gastronomic management Freshfood Catering had prepared perfectly for the sunny day and the large number of day trippers.
The regional Baden food was interesting and delicious and the brewery beer was very good.
We would be happy to go again and highly recommended.
Reservations are probably better if you want to have a seat as a group.
