Bärenbachtal Ponds

Between Wilhelmstal and Wolfsburg Unkeroda the Bärenbachtal branches off in the direction of Rennsteig / Hohe Sonne. The valley is named after the brook of the same name. Along the creek and several ponds the path gradually climbs past the Luisengrotte to the Rennsteig. Especially in the late afternoon when the low sun in the valley seems a pleasure.

Ideal for a short break

A valley with little traffic, but with a very attractive landscape, where you initially cycle up on a gentle path from Wilhelmstal, at the beginning of the Bärenbachtal past cozy ponds in the direction of Rennsteig / Hohe Sonne. At the end of the valley, then the junction to the imposing Luisengrotte, after which you reach the Rennsteig a short time later.
