On the edge of the caldera in Fira, the whitewashed church of Agios Minas on Santorini (also known as Katofirianos) stands in the southern part of the old town, overlooking the volcanic landscape and the sea.
The church is dedicated to Saint Minas and Saint Alexios, the man of God, and was built between 1537 and 1650.
It features an impressive white dome, a bell tower with three bells and a small terrace with beautiful views of the Aegean Sea.
