Pyrgos is the highest place on the island, so the view in all directions is good. The place is criss-crossed with winding streets, small shops, cafes and restaurants. Pyrgos is the starting point for many signposted hikes, e.g. B. to Emporia, to the monastery Moni Profitis Ilias, to Mesa Gonia, Ancient Thera or to Perissa.
