The Waischenfeld Kunigundenbrunnen used to be called "Johannesbrunnen" and was not quite where it is today. He was connected to the bridge saint Johannes Nepomuk from the year 1715. Actually, the woman washing clothes at the well is inappropriate, because in the past it was forbidden to wash clothes at wells that provided drinking water. For such misdeeds you had to go to prison and you also had to pay a severe fine. This is how it can be read in a community bulletin from 1729.
