"The Hämelschenburg Castle is a jewel of northern German architecture and has been completely preserved with the church, farm buildings, park and inventory. Guided tours take place. The unique history of architecture and art is explained and the eventful history of a noble family from Lower Saxony authentically depicted Rittergut has been owned by the von Klencke family since 1437 and is managed according to the principle of sustainability. The café and beer garden in the former farm courtyard with a view of the magnificent south facade of the castle and the museum shop invite you to linger. " (Source: Hämelschenburg Castle)

Castle Hämelschenburg invites you to make a detour from the Weser bike path. The 7km detour is well spent. The tour through a part of the castle is entertaining and informative, also with regard to the question "what is the Weser Renaissance". Afterwards it is worthwhile to stay in the castle cafe.
