Castle Hämelschenburg invites you to make a detour from the Weser bike path. The 7km detour is well spent. The tour through a part of the castle is entertaining and informative, also with regard to the question "what is the Weser Renaissance". Afterwards it is worthwhile to stay in the castle cafe.
