"A popular destination for Cologne residents is the approximately 20-hectare Decksteiner Weiher. The many trees along the pond provide pleasant coolness, especially in summer. Wide meadows, a 6 km long circular hiking trail and the adjacent forests round off the offer in the local recreation area. In the northern part of the lake is the "Haus am See", a café-restaurant with a sensational view over the entire pond. There is also a boat rental and a mini golf course here.

Drivers can park their cars free of charge in the parking lot on the Militärring, right near the Geißbockheim."
